I bought 4 of these breakers and one failed upon installation. Because the installation was just done, I was not able to return the item. Worse, I lost money on re-installation and had to go and get a new part. THis company should stand behind its products.

A great find since neither Home Depot or Lowes carry this size breaker. Not sure why the 80A is so much more expensive than a 60A or a 100A, but oh well...

Took a few months of troubleshooting but it's been determined this breaker is defective. It keeps tripping under half load.I contacted the manufacturer (Eaton) and was told not to buy breakers online as they have a lot of reported failures and they aren't sure if some are counterfeit or what. They have no warranty on double pole ones and tell you to return but of outside return window you're stuck.We tried a 70amp temporarily from local store and no issues. 80amp is back ordered by mfg everywhere they said so waiting for that but 70 working better and not tripping... Your millage may vary but for me at least this didn't work out.

I purchased this Eaton 80 amp double pole breaker for a sub panel. The breaker arrived very quickly even sooner than expected. I installed it in my sub panel and it works perfectly.

It works, replaced my 100A main with this to gain more room for solar and comply with the NEC rule on buss rating.

When I recieved the breaker only one of the two screws were installed. The screw that was missings barrel was stripped, so I could not even replace the missing screw with a new one.
