I spent a lot of time perusing Amazon for a perfect parrot for my pirate costume. This is a nice size and pretty realistic. It was perfect.

Used in conjunction with my ace costume. Looks nice and sturdy construction although it was hard to attach and hold in place as it’s just flimsy wires. After fighting with it for a bit, it did last through a costume party so it’s not horrible. Just plan for that.

I had to spend awhile regluing the tail. Read that this was an issue on other reviews. The feathers kept falling off even after gluing twice.

I used this for pirate night on a cruise… And attached easily to the shoulder with a small black material pad that had two pieces of black elastic attached to it. You could easily place it on your shoulder and tie the two pieces of elastic together. It stayed on the whole evening and looked very real.

When I got the product, the tail had come off in the packaging. I had to super glue it back on. It was just thrown in a box and wrapped with plastic.

Nicely rendered artificial parrot. More an ornament than a toy. Fairly lifelike, great colors. Firm, not soft like a toy. Had bought as a prop for a pirate costume - doesn’t sit on my shoulder but still looks very nice. Wasn’t disappointed re the costume; I just held the bird and it worked fine.
