Eccentric Shaft Actuator Compatible
SM
Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2025
The part showed up as expected and arrived quickly. I installed this into a 2010 Mini R56 with the N12 engine. No issues with the repair and a few days into driving the part seems to be working fine. Make sure you've got hardware and an allen key, as it does not come with either and you'll need both. You'll have to remove your entire air filter housing to get to it, so make sure you've got the parts and time on the front end. If you're replacing this, then I'd strongly recommend you check to see if your MAP pressure sensor on the intake manifold needs replaced. It will be the ONLY convenient time to replace it, as that sensor is right below this motor. Also recommend replacing the vvt eccentric timing sensor AND the vvt relay at the same time as this repair. If you haven't already replaced your vvt solenoids, may as well do them at the same time too so the whole system is repaired. If there are any other relays giving you trouble, this is a good time to replace them, too. For the amount of engine you have to pull apart to get to this thing, you may as well make the most of it if you can.
