Easy to put together. I figured it out. Just wish it was a hook at the front to open the door. Money well spent

I use this in my 8th grade class to encourage students to store their phones so that they won’t be TEMPTED to use them at times they are prohibited. It took awhile for them to do it because this age of student is typically way too connected to their devices but in the end it worked!

This has been the greatest item to get for my classroom. It keeps ALL cell phone distractions away from my students all day. I love it!!!

I love how cute it is. It was a bit of a pain to assemble, and the wood is very flimsy. The lock is broken after two months of use. I have to look for another cabinet for my student's cell phones since I don't feel this is protective enough. It might be good if you don't have to use it daily, but it is not durable enough for daily middle school use.

This self-assembly phone box is great! It took less than five minutes to assemble, and it works like a charm. My students love it, except for those who have large phone cases, theirs don't fit. 90% fit just fine into the slots, which I numbered to match their desks.

The quality of this cell phone locker is very thin cheap wood. Assembly was relatively east until I got to the lock part. I had to take the one part off just to close it and lock it without the corner of the door open.Improvements would be just a bit thicker of wood and better quality parts for the door hinges and locking part. One more flaw is the slots for each cell for to sit in are not big enough for some phones and they won’t fit in the slots. However it looks official and I use it in my classroom and the kids like to lock it up daily.

Ordered three of these for my 3 high school classes. We carry them from room to room during the day with the students. My main issue is the quality of the build and the materials. Some parts are made of MDF, but thinner parts are made from hardboard, essentially laminated sheets of paper.1) The screws are expected to hold on the edge of this material, which they do for a short while. The boxes are coming apart on the screwed edges.2) one of the boxes, the door essentially ripped off. The "hinge" is a lasercut tab on the top and bottom of the door. It is the same flimsy hardboard material, thinner even than the MDF sides and bottom. It did not last 3 months before both top and bottom tabs simply ripped away and the door fell off.3) on another box, one of the locks simply fell apart from the inside out. The key jammed about a month in and the bolt slid right out. I've been unable to get it to go back together.Overall, great idea and size, but the choice of cheap materials makes this a no-go for us buying them again.

The assembly of this product was a nightmare.Yes, the phone jail is ultimately finished, looks amazing, is sturdy on reasonable usage, and matches the product photo. The quality is nice in my opinion. However, the instruction page for this product was the absolute worst quality of this entire product. In my past build manuals, you tend to expect this glossy plastic paper with high-quality printing and you can skim the page/s to get a gist of what you need to do.The manual I was given was the cheapest, dull printed paper with visuals and text so illegible that it felt like a 1990s film level of blurriness and dull lighting. How it got passed quality control is beyond me.I spent about 8 hours trying to parse the instructions as I was not sure what screws or wood pieces went (there is no direct labeling of the product pieces). I would build what I think was being directed and then see that a piece was backward or used the wrong screws. Had to take breaks as screwing and unscrewing pieces gets mentally discouraging. However, I was able to build the jail correctly and thankfully, did not damage the wood from the many times I've had to reset.Based on my experience, I would recommend this product if you love puzzles or also have students who enjoy a good challenge.UPDATE:- Initial Review: October 13, 2023- Update Review: January 11, 2024 (when written)Unfortunate News: The lock of the box has broken; the rest of the box is still in great condition, however, the mechanism that makes the lock turn no longer turns the little gate/door that is slots in the lock hole. I am seeing how easy or difficult for a fix/replacement for this will be.
