We've used this weedeater for weeks on our 5 acre property the previous owner did not maintain. One fenced in area (30x40 ft)was at hip height with twig like growth and grass mixed. The weed eater worked for a couple hours with no issues, and we were able to walk through the area. Best purchase

So this came new in the box, no damage but after I got it together it wouldn’t stay running. Tried to return but am getting the run around because I had to leave for work for 2 weeks in MS to attend Annual Training for the National Guard. Third party business says it’s due to shipping damage..which there was no damage the POS just won’t run and they won’t stand behind their product.. buy local … less headache. Do not recommend.

I have a bunch of Stihl equipment. I have a SH 85 Blower, a MS250 Chain saw, a Stihl handheld hedge trimmer, a BR 600 Blower and a Stihl Kombi 117R with an edger attachment, a reciprocating hedge trimmer attachment, a brushcutter attachment, a string trimmer attachment, a pole saw attachment and a 37" extension attachment. I am on my third Kombi unit. The first one lasted a long time. The second one didn't because I ran over it with my SUV. The SUV won. I have two Tru-Cut reel mowers and a Honda HRX17 push mower. I said that to illustrate that I have some experience in the area.I bought the BR600 blower in the spring of 2022 and had a lot of trouble with it. I took it back to the dealer for warranty repair four times during the first three months that I owned it. The dealer where I purchased the majority of my Stihl equipment caters to professional landscapers and does a ton of business with them. They basically carry two brands of handheld equipment....Stihl and Echo. I had so much trouble with the BR 600 that I decided that my next purchase would be an Echo.We have a second home on a nearby lake and the string trimmer that we had there just died. We do not have a lot of yard equipment there other than a riding mower, so I was stuck with carrying stuff from my primary home back and forth. I saw this deal on Amazon and jumped on it. Why? Well the powerhead alone was selling for $319.00. The powerhead and string trimmer combo was $329.00. This deal includes both plus a curved-shaft edger for $358.00. A no-brainer if you ask me.Is this power head as powerful as my Stihl Kombi 117R? No. Is it as powerful as the Echo with the 25.4 CC engine? No? Is it powerful enough for the average homeowner? Absolutely, it is. Now, if you plan on buying a brushcutter attachment and cutting heavy brush on a regular basis or if you plan on buying the pole saw attachment with the idea of cutting large limbs, then it might be a god idea to spend the money for more power. But, if you will use it primarily as a weed-eater or an edger or a hedge trimmer, this thing has plenty of power for your needs. There is no need to fall for the "I need more power" lure.Shipment was fast and product arrived in perfect condition. Can't get any better than that.

We love this product! It’s was simple to put together and instructions were easy to follow. The instructions for the weed eater were not included but we were able to find easily through the help page link provided on the manual. The edger works great even on thick built up grass. The blower is powerful and works perfectly! Super easy to change out the edger to weed eater. Overall a great purchase!

Great combo! Easy to get started and works great but the weed eater!! You will need to wear pants and safety glasses! It throws more debris than any other brand I’ve ever used. Ordered a bigger guard and just received it. Hopefully it will cut down on being punished every time I weed eat!

4 years ago I could not decide between electric edger and weed trimmer or a gas power head. I went with the electric...I bought the craftsman weed wacker and a separate hedge trimmer(both used the same battery), and a black and decker 12amp electric grass edger. The batteies for the Craftsman system would run out before I could finish the yard. Once the batteries were used they took a long time to cool down before they could be recharged. The 12amp black and decker grass edger was ok, it took a long time!, needed lots of extension chords but would eventually got the job done. With this product, I had to do a little more mixing(fuel/oil) and pulling(starting the power head for the first time was a challenge) but the end result was simply better.I haven’t had to change the weed wacker line yet, but seems simple enough. It got the job done! The edger. Awesome. It had all the power I needed, way better than the 12amp electric edge trimmer. The hedge trimmer attachment was very expensive and I did not buy it.I went with a craftsman system that married with my new drill battery set up. I haven’t used it yet. I’ll keep you updated.
