I really enjoy these paper plates. They provide a sturdy surface for food—not flimsy at all. Plus, they look eloquent. And they are recyclable. I have a genuine appreciation for these paper plates. These plates are nice design, deep so food doesn't slide off, stiff enough to not sag from weight of food, no smell, ok finish to surface. I used them for a corporate board meeting and got compliments on how nice they were and environmentally sensitive.That said, they are not "fancy" enough to use for a wedding unless it was a casual outdoor reception.

Based on other reviews, I chose the 8” square for our recent event. We had an afternoon charcuterie table spread to serve a snack (not a whole meal). 8” was perfect! The rounded sides kept the food from rolling out, the deepness allowed larger portions to not fill the plate too quickly. The square shape help me carry two plates with one hand.They did not rip or shred or soak through from any dips. I would definitely use these again.

Was looking for compostable plates for a party that weren't flimsy/cheapy. These are sturdy, have a nice weight to them, and looked classy compared to the circle cheapy plates. Highly recommend if you have food items with liquids to them - dips, hummus, etc. They worked great.

These were purchased for coffee hours at church. The size is perfect for appetizers, and they are very firm, unlike many paper plates. Also, they are biodegradable, and the natural color goes with any themed event.

The only time I use disposable paper products is when I’m entertaining a large crowd. These are thick, very sturdy and look really great. They elevate the buffet table. They are far superior to most disposable paper plates that you would grab off a shelf from your local grocery store.They also store really well because they are square.I appreciate that they are made of repurposed materials.They are indeed a bit more expensive, but I don’t need to purchase these very often. And I want my guests to have the best.Cheaper products are so flimsy. They buckle under the weight of the food, or they can blow away, or they can bleed through if the food is moist.This product doesn’t do any of those things. So I guess you could say it’s not just a good looking plate, it’s also “safe.”

Beautiful, sturdy, leakproof - and we have to fold up the corners to fit them into the microwave. Oddly enough, this gives us "handles" to hold it by as we remove it. Mixed blessing...?We switched to these from another "thick, sturdy" compostable plate that had a REALLY bad sweating problem. It left condensation everywhere we put it, became flimsy quickly, and somehow saturated our plate cozies with steam. Not a problem with these.UPDATE 4/7/22: We tried the white, round version of these. Definitely fit into the microwave, but they had the same flimsy sweating problem as other plates :(
