Considering the front brake only gets limited, controlled use, I don't see how the lever could've snapped like it did due to excessive wear, misuse and it hasn't been wrecked. Idk what alloy it's made of (metal colored plastic?) but it looks like the type of metal used to cast Hot Wheels knockoffs. Overall I'm very pleased with the bike. It was delivered May 2021 and it has abt 980 miles on it. I love riding it and it turns a lot of heads, but I'm concerned about key safety issues like sudden brake failure due to cheap materials being part of the disc braking system.
