I purchased this on the recommendation of another rider. After riding in the heat of the summer, I could see that the horse was not sweating under the pad. Horse and rider are both satisfied with this product.

I like that this pad is very airy and breathes easily, however it compresses pretty thin with very little pressure (just a finger pinch will do it). I'm not sure that it really gives any more support or would be any more comfortable than a regular cotton pad.I also found that after using it as the sole pad, that the hair on my horse's back under the pad looked ruffed up and irritated. The underside is basically a fine mesh material and I think over the course of my ride his hair worked its way through the holes in the mesh. Looked like it probably felt uncomfortable for him. Makes me think it would be better used with a thinner cotton pad under it. But if you're going to do that you might as well use a half pad instead.Overall not an ideal pad and I don't think I would buy it again.
