I have an older ('99) 36V Club Car DS and installed a set of quality Deka batteries about a year and a half ago. But the standard 6 gage cables were still in place. Lower voltage carts generally require higher amperage cables (better electrical flow) to transfer the power from the batteries to the cart's motor more efficiently. I was impressed with the quality construction of these cables as soon as I took them out of the package. The thickness of the 2 gage welding wire used was noticeable immediately and the lug ends are crimped rock-solid and leave zero wire exposed like the cheap stock cables. Installation was very easy but take your time anyway and do yourself a favor - snap a photo with your phone before you start disconnecting anything. Especially if you have any added equipment on your cart like gages, lights or horns, etc. These are not the cheapest cables on the market, but top-quality equipment of any kind costs a bit more. The lowest price is rarely the best "deal."This is not an upgrade to gain more speed. If that's your expectation, this is the wrong area for you. But if you hope to extend the life of your expensive batteries, because they'll operate a bit cooler and hope to gain some additional run-time between charges, these are the cables to buy.
