Your cart is empty.The Edelbrock Intake Manifold made of aluminum with a natural finish. The rocker arm nut thread size is 7/16-20. The manifold includes intake valves, exhaust valve, valve springs, retainers, locks, guide plate and valve stem seals, but does not include damper spring, rocker arms, nuts and drilled steam holes. The guide plate pushrod size is 5/16.

Worst part of installation was removing the old gasket, which involved a few hours of scraping with a gasket remover, otherwise this dropped right on and everything else was pretty straightforward. Mild upgrades include this, a 600cfm Performer carb and full-length headers. Idles and accelerates well. You can DIY this as long as you know what you're doing with removing/reinstalling the distributor with regards to timing and TDC.

Overall, I am happy with this manifold in my 289. However, I was swapping out my thermostat and the manifold threads fell apart where the thermostat housing bolts on. I was well within torque specs on those two bolts when it happened. I have read numerous complaints about softer aluminum and shoddy threads on Edelbrock intakes. Now, I believe the reports. Now, I have to invest in Heli-coils to repair this.

Bought this manifold to replace a Holley Street Dominator on a 289CID Ford. Overall the casting is about what you'd expect from a lost-sand-casting process and perfectly workable. My disappointment was with the machining process. Three of the drilled and tapped holes used for the carb studs were at the correct depth. The forth hole was too deep and penetrated into the intake runner. The end of the hole was splayed out with bits of aluminum that flaked off when I rubbed them. I suspect that the manifold will not leak at this spot once the carb studs are properly installed, but this rough opening inside the manifold air passage will disrupt normal airflow through the manifold with unnecessary turbulence at this area . The three correct holes are smooth on the inside of the intake runner. Since I'll be port matching this intake to the heads, I'll mix-up some of the aluminum shavings with JB Weld and fill this hole from inside. An easy fix but better quality control at the machining station and a more thorough QA inspection would have caught this manufacturing defect.Took a couple of weeks to get the car back together and happy to report that this manifold really awakened my SBF 289. Off the line throttle response if MUCH improved over the Holley manifold and overall driveability is so much better. Good response through all four gears - I should have made this manifold replacement years ago!

Edelbrock 2121 Intake Manifold, it fit beautifully and as well as you now when you have a good looking intake with an Edelbrock 600cfm carb. When ever you open the hood it is the first thing that is noticed.
