I have had two of their units. Both of them failed for different reasons. One would not cool. Even after they sent me replacement parts and I had a tech put them in. The second unit's PCB failed and they couldn't offer a replacement because it had been discontinued. If you call to complain, they aren't surprised by the failures and will offer you 25% off a new one. Yeah, no thanks. The units are just not made to last, period. The 1st unit failed after 2 years. The second failed after 4 years. Buyer beware.

Surprised to find that the metal rack shelves don’t have rollers. Instead, the metal racks rub across plastic shelf supports that are part of the cabinet sides. How long will it take before the plastic starts to wear?

I finally upgraded my 32 bottle fridge. I had such a surplus of wine in my pantry, I decided it was time to go bigger. I’m very pleased with the functionality; it stays at the correct temperature and the shelves are very sturdy. As other reviewers have stated, you most likely won’t fit the amount stated in the description, as bottles are not all consistent in size and shape. I currently have about 60 bottles in there now (see pictures) and I have about 3 shelves completely bare. I don’t imagine ever exceeding the capacity, as we drink at least a bottle every night. It unfortunately arrived damaged but the seller was prompt at offering me either a partial refund or an exchange. I opted for the refund as the damage did not affect the functionality of the fridge and it would be quite an ordeal to send back and wait on another. Overall I’m very happy I made the investment!

**UPDATE AUG 2020 -- Downgraded to 2-Star. One of the earlier models we bought stopped working. Warranty only one year and no one to repair it. We lost all this money. Very unhappy with EdgeStar. Would have given 1-star but the other unit is still working**ORIGINAL DEC 2019 -- This was our third EdgeStar Wine Cooler. We like the clean look of the unit. But we liked even more the consistency in temperature and how quiet the units ran. We also like the unit's capacity -- although you won't likely be able to store the 151 bottles EdgeStar Claims -- we averaged 140 bottles per unit. This is because EdgeStar cheats a bit by supposing you will double stack bottles at the very top and on the bottom, while not having an non-standard bottle shapes. We felt cheaper units lacked reliability, capacity, quietness, and appearance. On the other hand, we did not want to pay for bells and whistles of units that cost twice as much. So, this is a good unit for our needs.PROS- Clean appearance- Quiet- Good temperature control- Reliability (5 yrs so far for the first unit)- Able to be free standing or recessed into wall- Capacity for it's sizeCONS- Less capacity than advertised (see photos -- top and bottom shelf)- Poor lighting. It's only decorative so you can't read your wine when you pull out a shelf- Not smart. With today's cheap electronics, the unit should tie to an app, alerting for temperature changes or door opening.Insight: EdgeStar is manufactured by LivingDirect. Recently they stopped selling direct and now only sell through resellers, so shop around and call to negotiate a discount among the resellers.ps -- If you value this review, please note that it's helpful so it will more likely be shown to other readers like you.

Bought it a few months ago, installed it in the kitchen as a built in. It seems to be working fine, and it’s quiet for now

We love our wine/beer and bubble refrigerator. We keep it at 55 and white wine, beer and bubbles are placed in the freezer for 20 minutes when we’re going to serve them. We are mostly red wine drinkers so 55 works well. 🍷🍾🥂
