As another reviewer said, there's no way to use the screw that came with it to secure the clip. The screw hole on the other side of the clip will not align with the screw hole on the front side. It seems like a design oversight. Either that or I am completely misunderstanding the purpose of the screw. However, I've seen videos of other brands and they clearly use the screw to clamp the clip sides together around the defrost heater element. I was able to clamp the clip on using pliers, but this may be difficult depending on how much clearance you have to get a pair of pliers on it.

I did need to get a steamer tool in order to first unclog the drain line before installing this would help.

We were ready to get rid of our freezer due to having to unblock the drain from ice. This kept the drain hole open.This was explained on youtube.

We’d started having bad problems with our drain line freezing up. This little product fixed the issue immediately. Great bang for your buck!

It worked great. I fixed the fridge myself. It was building up ice on the freezer, and leaking water inside the bottom so I searched and found a youtube video on how to fix it and they recommended to ge this part, so I did and followed the instructions. I didn't get to use the tube because it didn't fit on the hole, but the stick side of the other part did fit and fixed the problem. I have a whirlpool fridge.

I installed this product one month ago today. I was not able to use the screw that came with it, but I did squeeze it so that it would snap onto the heater coil and have a good connection with it. I had to angle it somewhat to fit inside the drain hole. Anyway, it has been a month and I have to say it seems to be working fine. No more ice build up and no water dripping inside the fridge. I still have a plastic container at the back of the refrigerator to catch any water leaks because I want to wait another month before I feel comfortable to remove it. I will update in one month and hope to have more good news.EDIT: Unfortunately, I have ice buildup again and will have defrost the freezer again. Very disappointed this keeps happening. Will try copper wire next and see if that does any better. And will continue to curse the companies that make inferior products with these problems.
