My boy loves these cards mainly because it can also double as a 'game piece' due to the battery-operated interaction. Make no mistake, it lights up correctly as chosen. Nice educational flash cards and it is essential for nourishing any young kids' minds as they grow.

Ordered this Educational Insights Hot Dots Kindergarten Prep Set for our 2 and 4 year old toddlers. The 4 year old had no problems making it through most of the cards on is own and the green light and tone is rewarding enough to keep him engaged. After trial and error on a few of the flash cards, he learned the correct answers and can complete all cards "in the green" now. He's now helping his younger brother learn the information on the cards. Little early at 2 years old for some of the math but other subjects are fun for both.Great value...keeper!

I have two kids with ADHD 8 and 6 and to get them to do anything revolve learning is like pulling teeth both of them sat down with me and did each and every card and enjoyed it I will definitely be buying more very happy with my purchase

Hot Dots are really fun for kids. I ordered this for my little one who is going to kindergarten in the fall, and it's been a lot of fun for him. The pen works with the cards and any other hot dots books. The battery life is a little short in the pen, but it's durable enough to stand up to a rambunctious kiddo. It's easy for his little chunky fingers to hold it, and gives immediate validation when he gets the answer right.I love that it's good for independent learning. He can check his own work without me having to stand over his shoulder.

This Educational Insights Hot Dots® Kindergarten Prep Set is a great tool for kids 5+ to start to learn sight words and how to read. This would be perfect for in the car or during quiet time. I know my son is going to absolutely adore checking his answers with the fun, interactive pen.

I thought these would at least say the words of what it touches but no. It just makes a cheering sound or a basically error sound if you choose the wrong word for the picture.

Great buy for out 4 year old who is in preschool. The cards are easy to understand. The pen is easy to use. She likes the fun sounds the pens makes when she get the right or wrong answer. It is helping her to learn simple math.
