This Montessori alphabet learning toy helps children build visual, tactile perception, fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, problem solving skills. The plastic materials and cards are well made and durable. The storage box is convenient.I have noted that this kit does not include directions. I am a special education teacher and my students needed to be told the name of each picture in order to complete it. Some of the pictures and sounds are not the most common for the letter, for example: the vowels are short excpt for Ii, icecream which is the long vowel sound.

I highly recommend this product! I absolutely love the engaging activities as well as the learning my kids have been doing! They think they are just playing, but they are matching emotions, musical instruments, and learning opposites! This set comes with three different engaging boards! I highly recommend this product if you are looking for engaging, literary filled fun!

Tons of screen free learning fun. My 4 yr old loves to show me what he knows while learning new things in the process. They have many levels of difficulty to keep your child challenged. I love how organized and clean everything is. Great gift to any kid. Great for homeschool kiddos or prek kiddos. The box is easy to store and keeps everything neat and easy to put away.

I am really liking this hands-on activity box. I purchased the math kit in hopes it will help my eight year old with his math. It really gets his brain thinking. I am looking forward to sitting my kindergartener down to practice her colors, numbers, and math. Thumbs up from this mom.

This a great learning kit for kiddos. I love how organized the bin in for storing. My 3 year old loves playing with these kits and showing how much he knows and learning new things. Helps reduce screen and video game time. Helps get your kiddos ready for school. Each kit comes with 3 puzzles. Each kit is a different skill level.

As a learning activity, I like this activity box. It has clear pictures and the letter/word on the matching tray are uncluttered. The letters and pictures are developmentally appropriate for developing readers with one exception. All of the beginning vowels are “short” (alligator for “a”, elephant for “e”, etc.) but the word for “I” is ice cream, where the “I” is long, aka, says its name. With developing readers, consistency is key. Using the picture and word for “insect” or “igloo”, would be consistent with the other vowels used. Each tray is covered with a top that works well to contain the blocks and is also easy to remove. Each block is very smooth and sized well for small hands. It is a bit difficult, however, to actually place them on their match because the space in between each one is very small and the picture block has to be lined up just so and sort of dropped on the match. This could be difficult for kids who do not yet have the dexterity to do this. If you want to pick up just one block off the tray, that is difficult for the same reason. A suggestion to the designer is that this activity box could be made with much less plastic. The storage box is convenient and it has a deep cup for the picture blocks when they are off of the tray. But I think that is unnecessary and the cup is not really wide enough to dump the blocks into. The picture blocks could easily be dumped onto the table or floor where the child is sitting and they would also be easier to see. So an improved physical design and complete consistency with the vowels would bump this to a 5 star rating.

Positives:The bin sits down perfectly inside the rim of the lid so that when the child is playing, the lid is stored securely out of the way.All of the plastic materials and the cards are well made. They all feel like they are durable and will last. The puzzles are intriguing and fun for young children to solve. All the playing and learning happens inside the bin with the exception of the card.Negatives:No instructions or helpful learning tips included. There are three identical trays for putting the shape pieces into and I don't know why?The learning cards only include mixing the colors. There are no cards with shapes in only one color. Lots of kids like to color sort and I think that would be an enjoyable card for them. There is no where to place the card the child is working on on the bin. So the card is excluded from the bin system making full "lap" play impossible.Once all the shapes are in the bin, the bin is full which makes it difficult to find the correct pieces for young children. I suggest the caregiver take the pieces out that will not be used for the given card to prevent frustrating the child. This learning box is a great start to an awesome product. Nevertheless, young children will enjoy the challenges it offers. At about $18 it is a good deal.
