Your cart is empty. EFT Lightweight Chromoly Flywheels are made from 4140 one-piece forged chromoly steel. They are specifically designed to reduce weight and inertia for better engine response. Most incorporate special design features to enhance the air flow to improve the cooling of the clutch. The ring gear teeth are milled onto the flywheel unlike an aluminum flywheel where the ring gear is pressed onto the flywheel which has the possibility of separating from the flywheel. All EFT Chromoly flywheels have passed engineering tests to 12,000 rpm. After professionally installed the flywheel requires a 500 mile break-in period.

Overall build quality is good. Seems well ballanced with no noise or vibrations after install and It is definitely lighter than stock however the description claims it comes with a new pilot bearing pre-installed but mine did not come with one at all. I would still recommend this as an upgrade over the factory flywheel.

So far so good.Do note that it does not come with a pilot bearing, which it should have. I ended up ordering a Subaru pilot bearing. The sellers will send one made in China if you ask for it. Remember, this is just the flywheel itself, nothing else is included, you'll need to buy all the bolts, TOB, clutch, pressure plate, etc...I'll probably need to report back after the break-in period.Pros:- It's 7 lbs lighter at 13 lbs, the chatter is at a minimum, barely noticeable in neutral and with the A/C on, so it's a happy medium versus a 10 lb flywheel.- Install was good, seems to be dynamically balanced as shown in the picture, guess it's not just for looks- Fitment was good, no issues yet, matched perfectly with an OEM pressure plate / clutchCons:- With so little torque, the BRZ/FR-S/86 will be much harder to drive, like re-learning stick. Drivability is much worse and very sensitive, way easier to stall now, especially on hills- Less sound deadening, much louder start-up, almost like crackling- Didn't get rid of rev hang, seems to be more ECU-related though- At 13 lbs, improved acceleration is marginal, but it loses speed much quicker- Will need to check back on UOA to see if there are any balance issues that aren't seem, and if there's extra wear on the engine- Engine tends to rev hunt and idles much lower, hopefully after a while the ECU will re-learn the lighter weightI can't really say if I recommend this as a daily driver, the amount of performance increase you feel doesn't really seem to outweigh is more sensitive clutch usage, but that part itself was made well. It was a lot of work to do a clutch job in my garage, but at least everything went together.I just installed it, so I'll probably need to give a long-term review afterwards to see how well this holds up.
