With a regular egg slicer you can only cut boiled eggs into slices. This set of 3 egg slicers allows you to cut boiled eggs into thin slices, wedges and halves. The slicers can also be used to cut certain fruits, vegetables, dairy products or even soft cakes.
The thin egg slices mix perfect on a sandwich with bacon, mashed avocado, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato or any other delicious ingredients.

It’s kind of a neat tool.The first time I used it I used it to actually cut a pair into wedge shapes. It worked perfectly.The main reason I bought it though is because we like deviled eggsAnd I am blind and when I cut an egg in half, it is really uneven With this tool, I can cut an egg and half perfectly every time :-)

Like a previous reviewer wrote, one of the wires on the multiple slicer bent after the very first wash in the dishwasher. Poor quality.

I'm very happy with this. Yes, it's a bit of a splurge in terms of storage space when you could simply cut eggs with a knife, but you get perfect slices whereas a knife has to drag through the textures of the egg white and the fat-based egg yolk, so this gives you cleaner/smoother cuts. I do slices for toast, wedges for salads. Plus, if you ever do a whole bunch of deviled eggs, you've got the half cutter. I don't do chopped eggs much, but you could cut slices on way and then cut across the other way. It feels good using it, the plastic is sturdy, and I think it will last a long time, as I hand wash it and am gentle with the wires. It looks as I expected from the photos except for maybe a tiny bit bigger. And the bonus is that I discovered it works well on slicing avocado halves which I do much more often than slicing strawberries like the demo. This is easy to line up (a criticism of another product mentioned that the guides were lower than the egg, so you had to eyeball it. The guides on this are nice and high above the food). I just wish that they had made one of the cutters yellow instead of green to make more of a spectrum. RIght now, the base is the same green as one of the cutters. I can see that the original design was probably a four cutter version with one yellow (probably either wider or more narrow slices), but then they decided to sell it as a three slice. A fourth slicer would be great. There is still room on the base. Anyhow, still happy with the purchase. I had been eyeing the clamshell-style cutters for years but found this style, and I finally decided to indulge during Covid-19 lockdown when I was making a lot of salads and buying this little "toy" was entertaining.

It is easy to use, very durable and allows for many dissections of the egg to whatever size/shape you prefer. Because it is a a bit larger than others, it is better and more comfortable. I had a smaller size I gave away when I got this one because I prefer it so much more.

I love that it has the different slicers. I especially liked that it had a half slicer for making deviled eggs. It was very hard to find one that sliced the egg in half. I use the slicer the most to cut up eggs for salads by slicing the egg one way then turn the egg and slice the other way. These slicers work for fruit and mushrooms and I'm sure many other things. I plan to buy more for gifts for my family.

this product works better than the attached variety because you can cut straight down instead of from one side; also makes it easier to clean
