The eggbutt on the one side was really hard to turn I had to oil it up several times for it to actually turn properly and not get stuck and squeak. I'm not even being picky, it was bad. That helped. However on that same side, there was some sharp edges by the bit where the bit itself connects to the egg butt felt sharp. I had to use a nail file several times and then it was alright.I have seen some reviews on this one where they got the most awesome bit so it's probably a problem with their quality control.All of the above being said, my horse hates any bit but he does seem to dislike this one less than others.

So happy I found this here. My horse loves this bits and it is a fraction of other bits of this same style!
