I bought this to replace a solid oak island. They don't compare, this is pressed wood so it's not super sturdy...doors only on one side that do open. Currently all is well, hopefully it will have a long life.

This will never become an heirloom or make it more than a couple moves. Like a different reviewer said, get glue - I’ll be doing just that myself as there are points of stability I do not trust. A dab of glue in certain spots, like where the shelves rest would probably go a long ways. It doesn’t say, but do this by hand - no drills or power tools as you risk cracking this with just a little bit too much force, it is very soft wood. It is a screw driver only project. It took me two evenings (about 4 hours) to put this together. Follow the instructions exactly. Pay attention to arrows, “x2” symbols, and the order which it goes.It isn’t wobbly, the instructions are okay if you can follow pictures, all of the pieces were included, and it is sizable for what I paid for it. It’s twice the storage I had for of course twice the price. It will scuff easier so make sure if it is a kitchen island you use cutting boards.My only other complaint is the top of mine came with a weird, whited out line. For the time it took to get out of the box and to make sure all of the pieces were included it wasn’t worth risking the send back.Would I buy this again? Probably. Size, storage, price, and sturdiness make the purchase worth while even if the instructions weren’t great and it is easy to mar or damage.

Get some gorilla glue...the bolts are not long enough to support the middle bar going to the large heavy side pieces. We almost destroyed the entire cabinet because of the lack of instructions and stability of the center back board. That board should be wider.

When opening I noticed the color is a light cream yellow and is not WHITE as stated. The foam board (white) inside of package and the color of counter top/product in photo so you can see the difference. I’m very disappointed as I was expecting white.

Most of the identifying stickers were missing. The screws would not tighten. They all stripped. We had to use glue to secure it in place. I knew for the price it wasn't going to be high quality, but this was not worth the price I did pay by any means.

Love the island. Assembly took longer than I thought it would. Directions were adequate as long as you followed them precisely. Only problem was the off gassing. Almost a week now and we still smell the chemical odor when walking into our house. Hope it goes away soon.

Ordered 2 Kitchen Islands which are fantastic and just what I wanted. One small board for a draw was missing but was quickly replaced by eHemco. Thank You For A Great Product and Your Speedy Response.

The island is really helping us in our kitchen. Some of the individual pieces feel flimsy, but once put together the piece feels very sturdy. In fact we’ve put a butcher block top on ours and it’s holding very nicely. The back panel on one of the drawers did not come in the box but the vendor sent a replacement very quickly. We are satisfied, the unit is a good value.
