This is a chunk of halite, a good size sample to represent the mineral and pass it around. It's basically as described and as depicted, so no disappointment here.I bought it for my niece who is starting to be interested in collecting rocks etc. I bought an acrylic display case for them and wanted to put a few in there to start it off.

This sample of halite is exactly as described in the description. It is about 1" long, comes in a plastic bag with a bar code. If you're looking for a halite specimen and this meets your needs and price point it's a good choice. Naturally sample will vary from the picture. The one thing missing is a statement saying whether or not it is of food quality in case someone wanted to taste it.
