The clamp includes a high strength alloy bosshead for securing the clamp to a frame or other apparatus. The bosshead will accept a rod diameter of 18 mm (approximately 11/16"). The screw adjustment allows for precise pressure when gripping glass objects, to avoid potential breakage. Swivel between Clamp and bosshead. Clamp is constructed of powder coated high grade zinc alloy. The prongs are coated in vinyl for higher temperature applications. Ideal uses for beakers, Erlenmeyer flasks, test-tubes, boiling (Florence) flasks, burettes.

Removable Clamp Screw

Clamp attached to high strength, alloy swivel bosshead that fits rods measuring up to 18mm in diameter.

Bosshead & clamp can be easily separated by removing the clamp screw using a 5/32" allen wrench.

The stated 4.75” maximum clamp opening is deceiving. The clamp will open that far, but the angle is so extreme that it will not clamp onto a 3” flask neck. Poorly constructed as well. Pot metal.

This clamp seems to be of good quality, for general use. The tolerances seem to be tight no wobble in clamping screws. The rubber jaws are of adequate thickness and even thickness.
