  • OLIVINE | Much of the earth's surface is covered in oceanic crust, of which olivine is a major component. With the highest crystallization temperature, olivine is the first mineral to form in a magma, making it a useful geothermometer
  • GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | Ideal for identification & classification exercises, and is great for lessons in hardness, fracture & luster. Its massive earthy habit is a perfect example of nonmetallic luster.
  • GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand processed by an actual geologist, ensuring each sample exhibits defining features
  • LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed in Victor, NY
  • INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED & LABELED | Each specimen sample is packaged in a transparent bag, and is labeled & barcoded for easy identification

This is nothing like the photo which shows olive and light green crystals. This has none. And it isn't even green in color anywhere.

Out of 12 samples, only 3 are not weathered. These are not at all similar to the pictures in the ad. Not very green.

Nothing like described or pictured. I honestly don’t even think this is olivine. Aside from that, it has a very strong perfume scent. I’ve never had a rock or mineral sample smell anything like this. I wasn’t even going to take it out of the baggy because I could see how ugly it was, and go straight to returning it. But I decided to do a closer inspection just to see if maybe there was some indicator that it really is olivine. That’s when the stench hit me. I didn’t bother looking at it anymore. This was a mineral sample meant as decoration for a tarantula enclosure. A stone from where it comes from. Not only is this a terrible piece of decor, the scent would repel the spider. Everything about this thing is awful. Extremely disappointed. Cant wait to get my $10 back and I’ll just buy something that looks like olivine that I know won’t show up looking like a regular rock from my yard that took a stroll through a perfumery.

Very disappointed, looks nothing like the pictures. Looks like a stone I would find in someone's driveway. The pics I added are of both sides and in natural light. No green whatsoever, very little "sparkle", looks like limestone. Don't waste your money.
