Product was sent broken twice to me. The first time was clearly sent from the company. The second time might have been at least partly due to shipping although the packaging looked safe. I tried to contact Ekena by email 3 times, but no response.

Very nice, good quality. Paint went on easy in a nice unifom manner, looks like it came that way. Looks great. Only wish a simple paper template came with it, would have made placement on the wall and cutting the drywall so much easier. Even when you hold it to the wall the place you would trace around isn't touching the wall due to the rounded back. So one person held it against the wall, while I had one end of a small pencil against the back of it where it would slide into the wall, while the other end was a few inches away tracing against the wall, hoping the pencil stayed straight as I traced, particularly on the rounded top. I got it traced and level, but took a little work and guessing. Would have been 5 stars if it came with the template.

Arrived in less than a week. It was well-packed and clean upon arrival. No installation guide, nor a template was included. It is 16 inches wide inside the wall. So, make sure you frame your 2-bys wider than the standard 16 inches on-center with the standard 14.5-inch gap. I like this design: it's simple and elegant without any distracting flourish.

I bought two of these Niches. They were shipped really fast, they were in perfect condition. Because of some wall structure on one of the walls it was a little difficult to install one of them but it got done. One thing is that I don't understand why the manufacturer doesn't send a template for the wall cut out. That just does not make sense to me. Once installed and after a coat of high gloss oil based paint, they are beautiful and had so much to our home. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to add a unique touch to their home!!
