A few years ago, I had purchased these same caps thru Lowes. Those caps required me to sand a lot of areas due to imperfections.When I needed to order more for a new project, I decided to order thru Amazon in hopes of better quality and I'm glad I did. These were so much better and no imperfections! The caps were nicely packaged and arrived in perfect condition.I did apply a bonding primer to both the front and back of the caps before applying 2 coats of exterior paint. The bonding primer may, or may not, be needed but I feel this step helps preserve the caps and paint adhesion. I with the detail, I suggest using a paint sprayer and keeping a small craft brush on standby to help getting the paint into the smaller detailed areas.
