Measure the space that you are looking to buy a medallion for, because this thing is HUGE. Definitely only for large living rooms, bedrooms, etc. I clearly wasn't picturing the size, correctly. It practically takes up a 1/4 of the ceiling in the small area that I was hoping to use it in, lol. I'd suggest making a mock-up out of paper, or cardboard. I found this vintage hobnail, milk glass fixture that I love, and was just looking to add a little something to it. I won't be able to use this particular medallion where I originally intended, but I'm going to hang on to it, because I really do like the design on this one. I wish they had the same design, in different sizes. My grandfather used this sort of foam, in one of his rentals, except it was moulding. I thought that was really cool. Easier to install, easier to remove, easier to reuse, and it looked great. Zero nails used on the part of the moulding that you see, so, no touch-up caulking, or painting. It was that foam moulding, that made me interested in a foam medallion, as opposed to plastic, or wood. I liked the quality of this one so much, that I'm planning on trying to find my second, and hopefully much smaller medallion, from this same company.
