I HAVE AN OLD HOUSE BUT THE FIREPLACE MANTLES WERE WIDE AND PLAIN. ADDING THESE GAVE IT JUST THE RIGHT OLD-TIMEY TOUCH.

I bought these to dress up the pediment above my front door and they worked perfectly. The slick surface makes them streaky on the first application of paint but after a second coat it was good. Used finishing nails to secure them and they held up well to repeated mis-fires with the hammer. :)

Exactly as described only much more beautiful in person. I love the detail and craftsmanship. I try to give honest reviews so ppl don't waste $. I was always a wood lover. I am now changed.
