Many backpacks, such as hiking/hunting/camping/range/assault/sling bags, especially military backpacks, have shoulder straps. But they usually don't come with strap loop to manage the long and loose shoulder straps. The belt loops for pants help with that. The size is just right, allowing you to fold a couple turns to shorten the excess length when strapping.
Belt keepers can also accommodate a variety of widths widths less than 2 inches such as heavy duty radio straps for firefighting, tactical undershirt straps, rifle slings, camera straps for photographers, tactical belts, nylon/canvas/web belt, and even extra straps on dog collars.
Simple solution for controlling long straps/belts. Holds on to loose straps. The excess of the belt cannot swing. The belt loop strap stretches so you can get around obstacles. If you look closely, you can see other uses for it in other scenarios such as outdoors and campgrounds.

The VEAPILS Elastic Belt/Strap Keepers appear to be made well and have similar stitching to other elastic strap keepers I own. Time will tell if they hold up to use, but they are holding well, for now.

I needed a new elastic belt keeper and stumbled across these. They are very durable and keep my belt secured. It's and EDC belt that is very rigid and it still keeps the extra length securely fastened.

Cutting to the Chase: Highly Recommended!I got these belt keepers to help solve an issue with the items I carry every day on my belt. For instance, I carry pepper spray and other holstered utility items on my belt, and these keepers stop them from sliding out of place. These fit tight on wider belts, like duty and carry belts, but won't work on belts that are not wide enough. With some of my pants, the belt loops would not be useful as often I was losing or gaining weight. Some of my belts I could cut down such as those made of cotton or fabric, but this does not work well with leather belts. Some of my pants and walking shorts often have poor placement of belt keeper loops sewn on them so this is where these come in handy. I like that they offer a selection of colors to choose from. This sure beats having the extra length of a belt flying around on your waist.
