Purchased for keeping an eye on mom after being admitted into hospice care and trying to make sure she didn’t have a fall. After trying a few options this camera seemed to have the best visual and audio quality as well as ease and steady connectivity. Game changer

Worked great for 3 months then it stopped working. The monitor unit constantly failed to connect to the camera unit. Too bad it didn't last because we really liked the unit. It was great for keeping an eye on our elderly mother in law, who lives downstairs, while she was sick.Update: Even though it was past the product return window the company sent me a new unit. The company was very responsive and sent the new unit right away. I definitely can't complain about that.

I am reviewing: Elderly Monitor with Camera and Audio, 2-Way Talk Room Monitors for Elderly, Call Button, Med Reminder, Temp Monitoring, Night Vision, Pan-Tilt-Zoom Video Monitor for Elderly Care & Caregivers/No WiFiThis product is relatively easy to set up. There is a significant latency, at least in my home. My loved one was not able to hear me clearly and I can not find any way to increase volume on the camera speaker. The PTZ is not automatic, which I had expected it to be. This function is available on cameras that cost less than the price of a meal, but not on this one. Double click on the PTZ button and it brings up the arrows, but there is, again, significant latency, so watching a moving person is difficult. The picture is decent, and the screen is a good size. I only have one camera monitor set up, and I tried to pair another brand but it won't do it.I inserted an SD card but I see nothing in the instructions, nor on the devices, to instruct how the video can be viewed. 24/7 video monitoring was an important feature and a big reason for ordering this product. Knowing if my loved one has forgotten something by reviewing video is of vital importance.Another missing feature is a passive alarm. The alarm mentioned in the listing is for the patient to use in calling the caregiver. There is nothing that alerts the caregiver if the patient moves out of range or falls, and since the PTZ is not automatic, the caregiver will only know something is wrong by checking the monitor frequently. I have the device set for English, yet the middle of the screen still displays Please format the card - in Chinese - but there are no instructions to format it for this device.If you're using the VOX function, just remember that it is a battery saving function that doesn't allow the screen to remain on. As far as I can tell, the screen does not light up again until you push a button. It does not light up for movement of sounds.

Edit: The battery only last about 8 hours fully charged!!! While it works as expected my mom with Dementia forgets to use the call buttons. Also, the instructions are in very small print. Needed a magnifying glass to see the set up!

I bought this for my grandpa who has mobility issues and it’s been a game changer! The setup was quick and simple. Camera quality is clear even at night. I can also talk to him easily when I’m in the other room. The big help buttons have been very helpful, especially the “Toilet” and “Water” ones, so that he can call us so easily when he needs help. I also appreciate the added safety of temperature monitoring. This really gives me peace of mind knowing I can still keep an eye on him without being in the same room always. Definitely recommend!
