This worked great a few times I used it, but after a few months, it stopped working. I have changed the batteries and it still doesn't work. It has been stored properly and I've taken good care of it. It has never fallen or gotten wet. There is no reason for it to stop working other than it is a terrible product.

So first one we received did not work and we changed the batteries multiple times and read the booklet like 50 times and did not work. It just sat there and when we tried to push the button NOTHING.We returned the item and then received the 2nd one and same thing. At this point instead of returning again to just hope we get a working one. I decided to tinker with it and see what the deal was.. My last resort was to go through like 20 batteries I had and finally it worked. Turned out all the batteries I was using were ReChargable batteries and for some weird reason it did not work with fully charged rechargable batteries. It only works with good old basic alkaline batteries.Wish I knew this and didn't waste my time or I would of done a 5 star at first. The packaging is great, it looks good but it does not work with rechargable batteries.

This product was horrible, first time trying it, starts working and stopped right after turned on. Apparently does not have power enough to open the can. Also, got stocked and was not easy to removed from can. Would not recommend.

This is the first time I’ve ever used one of these gizmos, and I like it. The smooth edges are nice. Having arthritic hands, it’s really helpful. It’s taken a little time getting the hang of it, but once it latches on it works beautifully. It would be nice if it would automatically stop when it’s done cutting. It continues to rotate past the cutting point and I don’t know when to grab it and get it to stop. Otherwise, it’s great.

Love the opener itself just needs to state electric with batteries I thought it had a charger cable got it could not use it cause I didn't have AA batteries had to order them to receive the next day!

Since day one this product hasn't worked well. The magnet doesn't protrude out enough to hold the can. It's very hard to get it to latch on to the lid at all. It's supposed to cut a safe lid but it ends up leaving the can itself incredibly sharp. It struggles to go around the can and doesn't stop after it gets all the way around. I have to Snatches it off and hope I don't cut myself. Now it won't even latch so it's useless. Do not buy this product.

I wanted to like this, but I don't. It chews through batteries quickly, it doesn't take off the whole lid, it is a challenge to get it to latch and start cutting, and instead of a sharp edge on a lid, it gives a razor sharp edge on the can. If given the option of a sharp lid or a sharp can, I'd rather have a sharp lid. Every time I have to spoon something out of a can. I'm worried my hand will slip and I'll slice my hand open. It also doesn't help that the way this opens the can weakens the structural integrity of the can, so it the can flexes and bends as you're trying to scoop stuff out without cutting yourself on the sharp edge.

I tried this for a week and finally gave up and bought a plug-in can opener. This device opens cans slowly and stalls intermittently. Plus, when it is done the top often doesn't remove completely so it's results are erratic too. Nice idea but I'll watch for version 2.0.
