Nothing is worse than a dull chain on your chainsaw, it's so hard to cut and puts a lot of strain on the saw. This little sharpener has helped me keep my Ego chainsaw and my Husqvarna trimmer (that I outfitted with a saw blade instead of the string) in tip-top shape. No more constantly having to order new chains online for my Ego and this brought new life to my trimmer which I had pretty much benched because it was so hard to use. Both chains cut through branches and shrubs like butter thanks to this sharpener. I watched a few videos of people using similar tools and was able to get good at it after a few minutes of practice.

This sharpening kit does what it claims, but it's not a quick fix. I recently used it to sharpen my neighbor's chainsaw, which had become quite dull after a long season of use. Getting the angles right and achieving a truly sharp edge took a fair amount of fiddling and experimentation. It wasn't intuitive at first, and the instructions could be clearer. The different grinding wheels are helpful for various chain sizes, and the angle guide is a good idea in theory, but it takes practice to get consistent results. Ultimately, the chain is sharper than it was, but the process was more involved than I anticipated. If you're willing to invest the time and effort to learn how to use it properly, it can be a useful tool. If you're looking for something fast and easy, this might not be it.

This is a corded rotary tool like a Dremel marketed as a chainsaw sharpener.It does come with a chainsaw sharpening kit; however, the manual is lacking, and it doesn't tell you how to sharpen the blade, and you must already know how to do so. This took some trial and error to get working as a sharpener. I had to go to Dremel and find a video to figure out how to use it that way.It also works for cutting, sanding, polishing, buffing, engraving, and drilling.

My husband is super excited to use this on his chainsaw blade. He decided he didn't need to hire someone to remove an oak tree stump and used a trough digger tool and his chainsaw. That made his blade extremely dull, as you can imagine. The tool appears very sturdy and the case it comes in doesn't look like it will fall apart at all. The sharperner pieces should also last a while, but I'll update with a before and after of his chainsaw chain once it's done. Should be fun!

So for years I've been watching my husband spend countless hours sharpening our chainsaw without realizing that these existed. After using this one I am kicking myself for not knowing about these. This was so easy for him to use and worked quickly. I can't tell you how much of a timesaver and lifesaver this sharpener really is. I like that they also include extra pieces for when you need them in the future. It's really well made and I appreciate that they include an ice case as well. It feels very durable without being large and uncomfortable to use. He's able to stop, sharpen his chainsaw, and then get right back to work quickly. Works great.

Clever little kit that can also double as a Dremel style tool as it's a knock off of their design. Easy to set up and change bits, has a handy carrying bag and three sharpening bits and angle jig. Good deal.

I was interested in this since I have a couple of homeowner category Stihl chain saws and this seemed like a great way to sharpen the chains. I've tried hand sharpening and when all else fails, replacing the chain. I thought this would be great. I was rather disappointed.This sharpener does work. However, the seller only provides instructions on how to attach the bits. It's marketed as a chainsaw sharpener, but there isn't a word on how to sharpen a chain with this. The only thing which saved this from receiving a 1 star was the fact that I found a YouTube video of a similar chainsaw sharpener kit that showed exactly how to use this. The other device could have been a carbon copy of the YARDMARIS sharpener so that was very helpful.The seller also notes all of the other chores that this kit can accomplish, but again there are no instructions. The instruction sheet only explains how to attach bits and several pages of cautions for use. Very disappointing.

This is a good 120 volt electric chainsaw blade sharpener. This is obviously a sharpener that you would use at home unless you have a power inverter and the capability to use it while in the woods. The chain guide is adjustable to different degrees and it comes with 3 diamond chain sharping stones that are all the same size. The kit includes a zip up soft sided carrying case and wrenches to tighten and loosen the sharpening stones and guide. This sharpener is a lot faster than hand filing a chain and so far I am still using the same sharpening stone. I have sharpened 8 of my spare blades that were dull and I am getting the hang of using this as I have always hand sharpened my chains. It puts a nice sharp, consistent cutting edge and angle on the blades and I am happy with this product. At this point I have no complaints or cons to point out.
