This is a nice electric shredder, all the parts are plastic, but it ground up a potato, pretty well. It did seem kinda messy, i got potato pieces scattered around. Put a standard size bowl, but it was not big enough, has it fell around. Due to the big hole size. And taking it out, etc, I got some on the floor. Feels a little clumsy. It does shred dough in pretty fast, and much easier than doing by hand that's for sure. Honestly, the mess is not worse than doing it by hand either. All in all, it is decent and does the job but not exceptional

It can be used directly after plugging in, and the shreds are uniform, much faster than hand cutting. But the power is a little bit low, sometimes you have to press down hard. And its material is not that good, and it can't be washed out if it is stained by carrots.

This isn’t the worst product. It works pretty well too. But it doesn’t feel very sturdy, the materials aren’t the best quality. Average at best. I’d give it more stars, but it also says the parts are NOT dishwasher safe. I hate hand-washing dishes more than I hate chopping onions, so…..I did wash the slicers on the top rack and they did fine, but I had to hand wash the other parts and that is a pain.

Nice size shredder/slicer. Not bulky but I would say a compact size. It works good and does a decent job. So far no issues. It’s a great addition especially when I’m having to chop a lot.

Big disappointment that the "chassis" is completely made of plastic. Also some of the instructions for disassembling the unit are *on the box* that you'll toss! All of those instructions should be in the simple instruction manual. Even then, it was just a bit vague for a couple of items. My wife borrowed our daughter's grater unit for Kitchenaid mixes to compare with this unit. Surprisingly, she said this performed better and was easier to use than the mixer attachment with the mixer attachment leaving lots of chunks/slices of cheese behind inside the housing while this unit had only a single small chunk that the plunger was unable to properly press into the bladesWhen grating cheese it *will* seize up if the pusher is pressed too hard but if you pay attention that won't happen. And it does a very good job of grating cheese - the main reason we got this. It's reasonably fast and requires little effort. We used a cutting board to catch the cheese so can't say if a bowl would be better. We prefer grating blocks of cheese rather than purchasing pre-grated as the cheese is better quality with more flavor. The unit is fairly easy to disassemble and clean with a nice variety of blades for various uses.My wife is happy with this...Recommended in spite of feeling a bit cheap with the mostly plastic housing and parts.

This electric cheese grater also slices vegetables like cucumbers and carrots. It does a good job grating cheese, but seizes up and stops if you press the cheese just a little too hard. I was hoping to just place a bowl in front of it to catch the cheese, but it slings cheese everywhere and I had to hold it above the bowl so that all the cheese would make it in the bowl. It gets the cheese grated, and it grates it well, but I had to baby it to get it done. It works and I will keep using it, but it could be better.
