All of a sudden the car was overheating (2015 BMW X1) when we drove for 25-30 minutes or more, then the message came up for Engine Temperature "Engine temperature high. Drive moderately to cool the engine. If temperature increases again, have the system checked by your BMW center." and then the car would bog down and go extremely slow! When it didn't do that, you would hear what sounded like the radiator fan constantly revving up/down and then finally after a while just running high-speed constantly. This fixed the issue! I know they recommend ONLY OEM water pumps but goodness sake those are between $400-500 and on an now 10 year old BMW and simply not worth the money... yeah yeah I know, you get what you pay for but for goodness sake a part for a 10 year old car shouldn't cost as much as a car payment no matter what brand car it is, for crying out loud :P. Long story short, this specific brand pump here on Amazon had the best reviews out of the more "affordable" ones and it simply works, so far so good!*You will need to remove the bottom cover, and the metal flex plate (DO NOT TEST DRIVE w/o THE FLEX PLATE ON it's literally stamped into the metal as a warning). You will need to loosen the sway bar (not remove it entirely, I only loosened then used my jack to re-align the bolt holes) and also loosen two of the star socket-style screws on the top left and right of the radiator fan, push in the little clip hook on the right side (when facing the vehicle i.e. drivers side) and pull the radiator fan up slightly (just enough) to get the old water pump out. *Check the old bolts, if they're steel bolts re-use them and don't use the aluminum bolts that come with this, the steel bolts are stronger (they'll have "steel grade" markings on the top of them and appear a different color entirely if steel). *Only use the blue-style antifreeze for BMW's, best to check and ensure you're putting the proper anti-freeze in your model. **Bleed the coolant system afterward and top off accordingly.

Omg you have no idea how much money you saved me. I had to get a water pumpand thermostat and Amazon was the cheapest and fastest option. 11/10

Installed this in a 2008 BMW 535xi 10k miles ago. It was OEM quality at a fraction of the price. OEM ~ $500 this was $94!
