This is my very first experience with a personal projector, I've used other brands during years for training purposes, and guess what... I'm very pleased with the performance of this device, it has different modes to combine inputs and outputs at your convenience. For instance, you can play directly from the USB memory stick or a TF card (with the appropriated file system) and hearing the audio from a different audio system, for example, a JBL Bluetooth speaker (as I already did), or, playing from a PC or Android/Apple phone (cast procedure - I could cast through the Androind option from the PC) by the Wi-Fi network (in my case Wi-Fi 6 / 802.11ax) and hearing from the same Bluetooth speaker. The local audio is ok, but remember, the purpose of such piece of hardware is to project an image, and now speaking about the image, I do really like the way I could adjust the image on a white wall, the quality of the image is very clear and correspond with the videos that you can see here regarding this projector; I could adjust everything by hand or loading the predefined configuration.

I have wanted a projector to use outdoors to show movies for my family and friends, but most of the past ones (at a reasonable price) have not been bright enough. The new measure for brightness is ANSI lumens, and my old one was the equivalent of 300 ANSI. This NISOO projector outputs 700 ANSI lumens. And at the price of $120, that is very enticing to get one, so I did. Outdoor movies and shows are quite impressive, especially if you project it onto a proper white screen (in my case, I have a 120" screen). I typically just connect my Android phone and tether off one of my streaming services. I could improve the clarity with a proper HDMI setup, but I find this quite adequate (and super easy). Now for some of the details:The projector has numerous input options such as HDMI (think ROKU, or Fire Stick etc), USB-A, SD Card (if you ever put movies on the little chips), WiFi-6 (most current and fastest). I use the WiFi feature the most and have no lag issues whatsoever. A testament to an excellent connection and speed. The projector has a true native 1080P resolution for a what I find is a nice clear image, even when outdoors. And if you have a 4K source, as some movies are on DVD, the projector can accept it via HDMI. The colors on the screen have been equally impressive. Nice and vibrant but not over the top. To keep the unit cool, there is an internal fan. I do notice it on start, but once the movie gets going, I do not notice it.Sound may not be as critical as brightness, clarity and color, but a lousy speaker is really noticeable. This NISOO projector has an internal speaker that is adequate, but if you are showing a movie outside, you will want a nice Bluetooth speaker. I have a small SONOS speaker that I connect with the Bluetooth 5.2 on the unit. The sound is fantastic. There are some features I now think should be standard. In particular, the electronic focus and keystone correction is great. You can do nearly everything using the supplied remote, which has a nice compact and simple form factor.Setup of both my ROKU, and mirroring my cell phone are reasonably intuitive using the projector's menus. The user manual is similarly simple (very pictoral). We are having a blast on our warm summer nights watching movies.

I have to state upfront that I won't be using this projector for movies or gaming, so I can't make any comments on any of it's other features. I am strictly using this for Halloween projections and I am more than pleased with the performance of this projector.Almost every year I look at affordable projectors for this purpose, and this is so far the best one I have ever purchased. It comes with a power cord, an HDMI cord, a lens cleaning kit, and a remote control (all functions are done through the remote). It also has a Bluetooth function. There is a keystone adjustment dial on the side, and there is additional trapezoidal correction and zoom available with the remote. The focus is electric and can only be adjusted using the (clearly marked) remote. The user manual seems well written and easy to follow. The image is brighter than any other projector I have (is it really 700 ANSI lumens? I don't know and can't test that, but it really is the brightest of any others I have). The colors look bright and saturated. The fan is not overly loud, but I will be running it to a wired soundbar for the actual night.I have a playlist loaded onto a standard USB stick that plugs right into the side of the projector. I had a few problems with file management on the stick. I have a Macintosh computer, and Macs will write "hidden" metadata files to the stick along with the actual file. I'm not so comfortable with the Terminal, so I couldn't remove those "hidden" files myself. The projector WILL try to play those hidden files and will throw up a big screen about an unsupported file format. Fortunately, on Apple's App Store there is a third party program called "Blue Harvest" that will remove these files instantly and then everything will play just fine. The projector does not have a built-in sort function, so the files seemed to appear in a random order. Customer service was VERY responsive to my situation (even in the documentation they said they would respond within 12 hours to any inquiries and they did just that. I can't stress enough how impressed I am with their customer service!), and tried to help me resolve it. Unfortunately, they did not have any ideas on how to order my "curated" list. After some trial and error, I discovered that if I drag and drop each file in the reverse order I wanted them to play, the projector showed them in the right order. I think this issue is more of a Mac and Sandisk problem than with the projector though. The best part is the projector will NOT throw up a "Play" icon, file title and/or a black screen between files. There is a one second pause, with the final image still projecting, and the next file will play, making transitions seamless (every other projector I have will do one or more of these things between files and I always had to make adjustments on placing the props or projector to help minimize it).I liked it so much that I bought two more to replace others I have been using, and will play with the trapezoidal correction function to see how far off to the side I can put the projector to hide the "hotspot".Overall, this seems to be a great projector to use for Halloween projections, but I suspect it will be work just as well for movies and gaming too.
