I am very pleased with it. It does a great job of mulching leaves. It's basically an inverted weed whacker head that you can put leaves off of, it's a little loud but gets the job done. Replacing the weed whacker line is easy too.

It's so simple and lightweight that it's hard to imagine it working as well as it does. It has a powerful motor that can crush an entire backyard full of leaves into 1.5 bags. It's unbelievable. I am very happy with my purchase!

We have used our mulching leaf blower for years to shred our leaf piles in fall and spring. While it worked well, it was a laborious process since we had a lot of leaves to deal with, and it does not work well to finely shred grass clippings. The DEKOPRO leaf shredder seems to be a good option for a reasonable price, with a lot of advantages and some drawbacks.First off, shredding leaves is loud and dusty, no matter what shredder you use. Shred size will somewhat depend on how you feed the leaves in. The best results are achieved when the leaves are fed in at a consistent rate, with less consistent results if you put in too many leaves at once.Advantages over shredding a leaf blower:• Greater and faster output (saves a lot of time)• Height adjustable• Large opening to easily feed leaves• Adjustable shredding size + wet leaves/grass option• Comes with two leaf grabbers for easier feedingThings to consider before getting the leaf mulcher:• With 21 inch opening, it is a larger item that needs to be stored somewhere• There is no cover provide,d and if you want to leave it out for consistent use, you will have to find a way to cover/protect it• The cutting mechanism is similar to a weed trimmer (string) but is larger and uses very sturdy strings. This limits what items can be shredded (no twigs, very stringy hard plant stalks, or pinecones). The leaf blower has metal blades and can shred harder items.Overall, I am quite happy with the DEKOPRO leaf shredder. It has made the spring yard cleanup quite a bit quicker, and variable size adjustment gives me the option to either use finer shredded leaves as soil amendment or coarser shredded leaves for mulching. If the shredder had come with any kind of cover, a leave bag, or been foldable for easier storage, I would have given it five stars.

Okay. I specifically bought this to slay the leaves that fall from the 100 year old magnolia behind the house. So far it has been awesome. Grinds the leaves up well. Don’t recommend dropping the flower cones in. Wears the string out unnecessarily. String isn’t hard to replace. Just cut out old for an easier pull. New string is easy to put in.Only complaint is that the metal poles that go between the wheel base and shredder were both drilled for the same side. As if they shipped to left legs. Didn’t really matter to me as I need to take apart to store after every use and shredder works just fine with only cotter pins and wheels permanently secured. I love it. So much fun to grind up those magnolia leaves.
