The Electric Pruning Shears is a wonderful home or professional grade garden and yard tool set. It’s a heavy-duty, battery powered, handheld pair of electric pruning shears. The set, which is comprised of the pruners/shears, two rechargeable batteries, a sharpening stone, an extra blade, and the tool service components, are all made well with high quality materials. The shears are simple to operate and easy to maintain. The entire set, which comes stored in a convenient hard-plastic carrying case, is also very easy to store. The chargeable blade is sharp and the fast-charging batteries appear to be long-lasting. It should be noted that one will need to remove the tool’s cutting blade lock before attempting to operate the pruners for the first time, and for safety concerns, to remove the battery when it’s not being used. Still, I like this product because it’s durable and lessens the amount of physical effort used when pruning small branches.

I’m no stranger to heavy-duty equipment—I use chainsaws regularly—but these pruning shears still gave me pause with their sheer power. I picked them up because they’re compatible with the DeWalt batteries I already own, and they’ve lived up to the hype in terms of strength and precision.The first time I tried them out was on a neglected tree in my backyard. The shears sliced through thick branches, some over an inch in diameter, with ease. What impressed me most was how little effort it took. The LCD display is weird, why do I need to know how many cuts ive made?While the power is impressive, I’d recommend treating this tool with respect. It feels like handling a set of automated jaws! Even as someone used to dealing with powerful tools, I caught myself being extra careful.If you’re looking to take on some serious trimming or pruning, this is a solid tool. Just remember, it’s sold as a bare tool, so you’ll need a DeWalt battery ready to go.

These are amazing pruning shears for smaller tree branches and thick plant growth. I've been tackling trimming of a parkway tree that has long gangly branches and I like to give a good trim a few times a year. This does worlds better than my pole saw, so much faster and easy to manage on a ladder.The fact that I get two batteries that both seem to have a nice lasting time, and the other extras are great. The tool is very functional, and the batteries are a great value.

Tends to be slow in starting but once it is active it cuts very well. Little heavy so my wife couldn’t use to long.

Electric Pruning Shears -1000W Brushless Motor Cutting 2 inch Diameter Professional Gardening Electric Shears, Heavy Duty Branch Pruner, 2 * 2000mAh Batteries, 2*Sk7 Blades:I am not a yard work type person. At All. We had a lot of trees and other pieces throughout our yard that needed cleaning up so I ordered these to make an attempt myself. They were SO Easy to use that once I started I kept going and completed so much of our yard in just one afternoon! The battery on this thing last forever and it charges pretty quick as well so you really never have to worry about not being able to power it up. Lightweight, turns on and off fairly easy and felt safe using them as I had on safety goggles and gloves.

This tool cuts good but battery will NOT lock in….I tried 3 different Dewalt Battery sizes.If I would have read this review before buying, I certainly would never had bought./I would stay away from this one.

I'd give these ten stars if I could because they are AMAZING. This review is going to get long, so let me summarize: 1) EFFORTLESS pruning. 2) Can get into tight spaces where other pruning shears or chainsaws can’t. 3) Lightweight enough for me to hold all day. 4) Can go go go on one battery charge, but there’s a backup battery just in case.The main thing is that they cut through wood LIKE BUTTER. The first time I used them, a big branch almost smacked me in my face because I had no idea it had been cut. Yes, I had put the jaws around it and pulled the trigger, but there was zero resistance, zero tugging. I keep all my pruners razor sharp, but I've never encountered anything this effortless. When I figured I would cut off the smaller branches of that big branch with a hand pruner, I was stunned at how much work it was in comparison, even just for tiny twigs! Why would I use a hand pruner ever again?!Another big reason these are worth gold to me is that they bring all that amazing leverage to very tight spaces. Our yard has a lot of old ornamental shrubs, and selectively pruning the branches can be really hard. The wide handles of a loppers won’t fit between the other branches, and my small battery-powered chainsaw lacks precision. These shears can go wherever I want. Plus, they're lightweight enough that my arms don’t get tired. I’m 5’5” and 135 pounds and not super strong, so I appreciate that they're easy to work with for long periods. Which you can do!, thanks to the battery, which holds quite a charge.Note that because these things are deadly, in order to turn them on you have to a) slide the switch at the base and b) DEPRESS THE TRIGGER TWICE. Yes, they comes with instructions, but I spent five confused minutes before I finally read them. Second, your tool might arrive in just its plastic case, without all the cardboard and Styrofoam packaging we’ve grown accustomed to, but I learned that that’s normal. You aren’t getting a used tool. Finally, the default position is with jaws open, so if you want to store the shears with jaws closed, you should hold down the trigger while sliding the switch to off.I’m not sure how I lived survived before I got these. They’re a game changer. Sure, they're more expensive than a manual loppers, but they're worth every cent.
