This is intended as a SAFETY device, not a SECURITY lock. With that said, you'd either have to pick the lock, or destroy the whole thing to get it off. It fits much more securely than I expected.As a safety device, there's no way to plug the cord back in with this attached, and it's ability to secure both two- and three-prong cords it's great.If you need Lock-Out, Tag-Out capability on corded appliances, this is the way to go.

This lockout fits on the end of a standard 110v power cord and prevents it from being plugged in. Many of the pieces of equipment I service actually use the IEC power cord, so it's kinda funny to put this on when the entire cord is replaceable, but it at least tells the next person it's been locked out and not to even try plugging it in.I like the inside-out keyway on this as well, it is a very cool lock with a very important purpose.
