Mine actually measured 104mm x 104mm which is 4.1 inches. Reasonably bright glow and easy enough to work with. These panels are good for diffused light when LEDs can't fit or can't be placed at a distance to a diffuser. There are a surprising number of places where that is the case from clothing to thin signs that can be placed almost anywhere. I'll be using mine on animatronic robots.Wires on mine were black/black rather than black/red.The panel AA power supply includes a button which sets Off/On/Fast Blink/Slow Blink/Off. Pulling a battery resets the cycle to Off.I did note a high pitched whine at both the panel and the AA battery supply, likely the high frequency high voltage transforming circuit. I'd say it is unnoticeable beyond arms length but younger people will be able to pick up on it more than older and when the setting is flash on/off it is only heard when the panel is active. This was the case for both of my panels.

Yes, these glow a greenish color similar to a fireflies butt. Both do glow; these are electrical and fireflies are chemical forms. As an adult, I was quite astonished when I turned on the battery power box as they were brighter than I considered and I thought it was impossible as they are as thick as paper. Really, these are around 4 inches square with two wires feeding into it and the entire surface glows evenly.What makes them even cooler is they can be cut into any shape or form and still glow. Just obviously cut the edges away from the wires and it will still glow. Cut it into butterflies, alphanumerics or even isosceles triangles! They are much better than equilateral triangles btw. Oh, you think yours are better? Nuh-uhhhh, your acute triangles are so lame! Your momma folds clothes with right triangles too.Just don't be square or boring! Use your imagination! Have and spend a fun moment with your loved one. You can even use what I said about fireflies anatomy as kids giggle about such things.
