These are great quick review tools for anyone trying to switch to better eating habits. They're a sturdy laminated set that can be used and wiped clean if they get dirty in the kitchen. Trying to improve my eating habits to live a healthier life-style and these are a perfect addition to that goal.

I ordered the Elegend Kidney Disease Food Chart to obtain information to better take care of my kidneys. After receiving the three charts, I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of information they contained. These charts are user friendly and make an excellent addition to any additional research on eating for healthy kidneys that you may choose to do.As a note of caution, if you have any form of kidney illness, follow your Doctor’s dietary guidance. These charts can be used to help you eat better, but should not be used to replace medical guidance. What I liked:• Each of the charts is a laminated trifold with information on all six sides of the chart. The lamination allows you to make notes using dry erase markers.• The charts are laid out in a logical order and all of the information in them is simple to read and comprehend.• The Kidney Friendly Diet chart provides a simple but in-depth overview of kidney health and how food and drinks impact the kidneys.• The Kidney Diet Food List provides an excellent breakdown of several hundred types of food (proteins, vegetables, grains, fruits and juices) with recommended serving size and the amount potassium, sodium, phosphorus, and protein in each serving.• The Kidney Diet Meal Plan provides similar information as the diet food list, except this chart is for suggested meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks). What I disliked:• Nothing, these charts can be very useful in learning how to take better care of your kidneys.

Three very nice tri-folded, soft-laminated informational materials about kidney-friendly diets for all lifestyles (vegetarian, meat, vegan, etc).Easy to read for all education levels.Menu planning with pictures, Food list with pictures, and educational information.I learned the foods I love are the foods that don't love me! I eliminated tomatoes and potatoes, bananas,...and what a difference already....The pictures show what to look forward to. Everything is planned out of you, you substitute what your need and likes are!

I have stage 3a chronic kidney disease, the charts and information are very good. So much tracking of protein, potassium, sodium and phosphorus and the nutritional charts are so helpful. I thought I was eating healthy but with kidney disease a lot of the items aren’t beneficial to me. I highly recommend this product.

My husband deals with kidney disease, and as it has progressed, knowing what dietary choices help or hurt has been so much more challenging to deal with. This set of three pamphlets is extremely helpful and printed on sturdy paper, ensuring it will last. It provides a general overview and information about the disease, a list of functional foods to include or avoid, and even a more precise pamphlet on how to calculate things to make the most of supporting your body as you manage it all. When you are overwhelmed and stressed, this at least provides a starting point.

I am a dieitian and got these as potential educational resourced to use with patients.I gave 4 stars vs 5 due to one of the sheets not having the best readability and for the food lists lacking carbohydrate content, but overall they're good resources. They have good and accurate nutrition information regarding kidney disease and comparable to what I'd review with patients, but the readability of the "What you Need to Know" sheet wasn't great. It is not user friendly or easy to read and the Italicized font for the entire thing makes for poor readability. There is also a lot of words/texts and how it's broken up is a little overwhelming to the eye. It wouldn't meet my facilities standards for educational resources due to these things. The meal plan and food list sheets were easier to read and had a better format. The serving sizes were good and seemed to have accurate info. The food lists show serving size, fluid %, potassium, sodium, phosphorus, protein and calories - but unfortunately does not show carbohydrates. With diabetes being the leading cause of kidney disease, I'd consider that standard on food lists for kidney diet education - so I'm surpised it wasn't included. But it's nice for the other nutrients listed. The visuals for the food list and meal plan are nice. Each snack/meal idea on the food plan has a picture of the food item which I always appreciate and patients seem to enjoy as well.It is somewhat laminated paper (I don't think fully laminated, but it isn't just regular paper so you could potentially wipe it down for infection control inbetween patients if needed, but it may ruin the paper so I haven't attempted personally).

This is amazing, wow thanks guys!So I’ve been living with my mom who is currently a hemodialysis patient and it’s been a journey. There has been so much I didn’t know before this all happened and I wish I had this.My Mom and I hit a few walls lacking information and it’s been scary but now we’re more educated and doing much better but a lot of things we had to learn and understand is on here, and they make it super simple! So many food options but also a lot of notes about important things to know on so many topics regarding the kidneys & patients suffering with kidney disease. This is exactly what I needed and will hold near and dear!
