My previous Powercat was metal, but I'm not sure what kind of metal and the chrome was cheap. It discolored and pitted very easily, seeming to re-act badly with the mag-chloride used here in Colorado. This one seems to be holding up much better, but I'll update if it doesn't hold up this winter.

4 Stars. There is only a small square of adhesive on the back. I ended up buying some 3M tape from an automotive store to cover the entire back with adhesive to avoid having the decal come off in the future. The small square might hold but you'll have dirt and other road grime build up over time behind the decal.3 Stars. Update (August 2019): The 3M tape is still holding the powercat logo. The logo itself has been gaining more tarnished spots over the last 12+ months, with existing spots growing larger. Consider using car wax or other protector to keep it from clouding up.

This metal emblem is the only way to go. The plastic ones discolor but this one keeps it's shiny color and looks awesome.

I had to order these again because I had lost my old one when I gave my car for repair. I love the quality of this as it doesn't get worn out even though I give my car for car wash every week. Also the sticker quality is great as it never showed signs off coming off.

The chrome finish on this item is poor. The one I had delivered had numerous pits all over the emblem. Because the seller would not immediately replace the item, I had to pay to order another to receive it by my desired date while returning and awaiting my refund on the first one. When the second arrived, it had obvious defects as well, although not as bad. The poor quality of this product would perhaps be appropriately priced under $10, certainly not $17.
