I have an older outboard in which don’t have any tags or identification. I purchased this item solely by the picture reference. Upon receiving it I had questions because the item pictured and the item received were slightly off. I contacted seller multiple times to see if this would work with my outboard but they needed the identification of the motor. Without it they couldnt help me. Never returned my calls for me to explain. Ended up installing the product and it worked fine on my 2001 Yamaha 250hp 2-stroke

Finally found an aftermarket motor to fit my 2001 ox66 225. Two other brands came with the base circle too small causing it to not seal. This fit like the original Yamaha. Wires same length.
