This rolling pin does not impress a patter into pastry and is a waste of money.The design is not deep enough to impact on the dough and all that can be seen is feint lines.Very disappointing product.

Works great on dough that doesn't spread too much while baking. Also great for salt dough ornaments. I haven't even had a problem with anything sticking on the rolling bin, even without using flour.

Not to be used on cookie dough! The shape didn’t come through after baking. I baked sugar cookies. But it does work well on clay! Even after firing and glazing. The embossed shape stayed the same.

The rolling pin is obviously smaller than a standard size rolling pin, but it's engraving is deep enough that it leaves a nice, clean print when you roll out your dough with a regular pin first then go over it with the engraved rolling pin pressing enough to leave the print...good enough for me! I've tried a few different cookie doughs..standard sugar cookie dough works best♡

I love the pattern on the roller. Depending on how I cut the cookies I will have many different designs. the roller was a bit smaller than I thought, I should have measured it out before ordering. I'm not planning to use the roller for a couple of weeks, but I love the depth of the design on the roller. This roller is what I was looking for to add a change to my regular cookies.
