Sturdy pieces, smoothly sanded with no splinters, shiny new nuts & bolts in a simple box…with a completely useless instruction/assembly guide, unless you’ve already used an embroidery frame before.Assembly for the experienced is simple, but takes some effort. The wooden end pieces to the frame are TIGHT to the rolling bars at top and bottom. Takes some force to get them all the way in. Lay your canvas, put on your plastic securing sheaths…These things aren’t as awful as some of the ones I’ve had on plastic canvas frames. One edge of them goes into the groove on the long wooden dowel to keep the canvas secure as you tighten it…But getting it to completely snap onto the rod, over the fabric, is as much effort as attaching the end bars. It takes hand strength. And even then, there’s a chance it will snap back off while you’re attaching the second clamp.Finally get everything together, then tighten the nuts and bolts on each corner to keep your fabric tight, your dowels firmly twisted. This is the part I always despise: thread keeps getting caught on the nuts. Or my inner wrist scrapes over one. And the fabric still isn’t perfectly OCD-level tight, all across the dowels.Final thoughts: it’s a good quality, well-crafted frame. The wood is high-end, there’s no sticky varnish, rough patches or overwhelming odour. The frame does it’s job, as advertised. It’s a fair price for a wooden frame, as I’ve had plastic ones that cost more and do less. There will just always be room for little quality-of-life improvements, like determining how to move the bolts to the side in a kind of clamp system, or make the fabric stretch taut in a uniform fashion down the entire length.

Solid frame, but one of the bolt was too short. I returned it.Update: After my review, the seller communicated with me and sent a brand new frame free of charge. I received it in less than 3 days. That one is perfect. So thanks to the seller. Very good customer service.
