These are perfect for taking kayaking. We haven't had to use them (except my kids testing them out). If one of us flips though these are nice to have.

I really didn't need 10 of them, but the price was right... Put them in all my kid's camping/hiking backpacks for emergency use only and have extras to replace them as they inevitably get lost... Not as loud as some whistles but likely plenty good for a signal whistle where people will be listening for it...

I ordered the Emergency Whistles for Adults with Adjustable Reflective Lanyard for when we are hiking/backpacking. I can attach one to my belt and the lanyard is long enough to reach my mouth. The built in clip on the whistle lets you clip it to the belt or a pocket. I can also string it around my neck and the lanyard is adjustable. Another use is on a backpack; easy to attach and keep in reach. The bright orange color really stands out and make the whistle easy to find and the lanyard reflects light, especially UV light, making it easy to locate in the dark. The whistle is loud! It is good to have a device that you may never need but which could be life saving if you do need it! A great piece of mind! This is a very good deal at this price point

Excellent design and construction of these .47 ounces (13.2g) ABS plastic whistles with reflective strand lanyards! Units I received were stamped with ISO standards number for tested/approved Personal Flotation Device equipment. U.S. Quarter Dollar shown in photo for sizing comparison.I got these to clip on our personal keyrings, carry in car glove boxes, and to equip survival bags for my entire family. A two-chamber design without any internal “pea” to fail or freeze up, these whistles make uniquely toned - attention getting sound that’s incredibly loud. I’ve field tested them and found them to be tough and highly reliable. I like the approximately 14-inch-long reflective thread neck lanyard that’s made of reflective strand paracord style line. Lanyard includes a plastic button-lock length adapter device.At approximately a $.79 per unit price point (time of writing), I believe these are an excellent value, and highly recommend them.

If you're boating then a whistle is a must've even if your location doesn't require it. These things are loud. It is a great price point for this set. We keep them on every kayak ready for emergencies. Love that they are orange so you can quickly see them.
