I used this snap-action temperature switch to control the fan in a furnace modification to improve the efficiency of a natural gas "gravity" (natural convection) furnace. In my application, I suspended it an inch above the heat exchanger and it works perfectly. This switch closes very close to the 140F rating, and appears to open very close to the spec of 120F too. It's rated for the full power my motor draws, so what's not to like? Simple and reliable...
