Great EMF detector. Super easy to use, and it is sensitive as well. It's not super light and doesn't feel cheaply made. Perfect for those in your life that want to check for spooks!

One of the first things I discovered after this meter arrived was that it takes 4 AAA batteries but only came with 2. I realize that it shows 4 batteries in the photos but, for some reason, they didn't all seem to make it into the box. While an irritation, it was certainly not a deal breaker. However, I discovered a second issue related to AAA batteries that was also irritating. The battery compartment is a tight fit. When I first attempted to use a different brand of battery, I was finding that they were very difficult to snap in place and keep there before I could get the battery cover closed. Investigating further, I realized that some AAA battery brands are slightly longer than others (I had always assumed they were exactly the same length). The included batteries were slightly shorter than the brand I had laying around the house and seemed to fit slightly better. After some maneuvering and a few choice words however, I managed to wrestle all 4 AAA batteries into place and get the cover closed and screwed down.In terms of fit and finish, for the most part, the detector seemed pretty solid, the only issue I had was that adhesive holding the plastic cover over the LEDs was letting go and the cover was pulling off a bit. A drop of glue onto the corner in question and we were off to the races.Operation-wise, it seems to work. I bring it near devices I know generate an RF field and it progressively moves up the LED chain as expected. Bringing it next to a device known to generate a lot of RF when activated also exhibited expected results. By the way, if you want a good scare, hold this within 3 feet of your microwave when you start it. Looking at the results may make you want to re-think how close you stand while it is running.Overall, I'm pleased with this device. The peeling screen wasn't a major issue for me as it was easily fixable. For an inexpensive emf meter, this one may be worth a try.

So I’m not sure how you are supposed to get any sort of accurate reading with this when literally everything out there put off an emf. Including myself! I thought this would be fun for some paranormal hunting but I have my doubts that this is going to be helpful at all. I mean not that I am sold on the paranormal to start but I thought it could be fun. Anyways so this says that it comes with batteries, and it does. It takes four batteries however only two came with it. So you need to throw in two of your own batteries as well. The. You push the button to turn it on and then start to move it around to areas you want to test. You do need to be pretty close to whatever to get a reading and you will get a reading just in general. This probably isn’t the best emf meter out there.

It feels very cheaply made. Oddly, it requires four AAA batteries, but it came with 2. At first it only worked if I held the power button down. If I didn't, it would just turn off. I exercised the button a few times and eventually it started working. This leads me to think that the power button switch is fairly low quality or there is a short of some kind.

This is relatively easy to use, the directions are to the point. It works as you would expect it to and seems to be accurate. If you’re looking for emf’s this is a must!

We use this on boats to find magnetic interference. While not as pin point as our Fluke it does the job for a lot less money..

This detector doesn't seem to work very well. As soon as I powered it on it went to nearly the max and even when moving hundred's of feet around, far away from any buildings or power lines it still never stopped reading very high levels.

When this meter arrived, I couldn’t turn it on, suggesting it likely didn’t have batteries installed. To access the battery compartment, a screw must be removed before attempting to open the cover. Removing the cover proved challenging; I eventually managed it using a letter opener—the thinnest tool I had available—to pry it off. Upon inspection, I found that the meter accommodates four batteries, yet only two were included in the box. It seems that this is a common issue, as it appears that everyone receives only two batteries instead of the full set. Thankfully, I had extra batteries at home and could get it up and running. It’s puzzling that not all four required batteries came with the meter, as this doesn’t make much sense. This is a basic EMF meter, lightweight with a vintage tech appearance. While it operates with a single button, the button occasionally sticks within the unit’s casing and requires a gentle nudge to release, which can be inconvenient. Lacking a speaker, the meter doesn’t provide audio alerts for high EMF levels, nor does it have an automatic shut-off function. Additionally, there’s no display or battery indicator, so the only way to know if the batteries need changing is if it won’t power on. Overall, this is a very old-school device. Performance-wise, this meter is straightforward, displaying EMF levels and indicating if you’re within a safe range. It's ideal for beginners and those who may not recall safe EMF thresholds, offering a simple way to assess safe distances from electrical devices, broadcast and cell towers, and other EMF sources, as prolonged exposure can impact health.Despite its retro appearance and the button flaw, this meter appears to be functioning well. I find it very useful as it provides peace of mind regarding EMR levels in my environment.
