Be aware that if you buy a used one , it may be missing parts . I bought it because it was a good deal but it was missing 2 cables and the adjustment screws and springs . The 2 cables are necessary for installation so I’m returning it .

is a modern version of the 81. it growls with a good distortion and the cleans are slightly better than the regular 81.

Emgs are the best. These new x's are even better. EMGs customer support is totally awesome. I had a set I was trying to put on an sl2 and was having problems, all I had to do was mail everything to them, they wired it up for me and mailed it back. Excellent customer service.
