Replaced the factory speaker in a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue (BDRI) with this speaker. Great sound and much lighter. Solved issues with flabby bass, doesn't add bad highs.

I love this speaker. It has a warm clean tone. Perfect for jazz and blues and classic rock. I like it better because it's a light wake speaker. Swamp thang is great too. But it's heavy. Another great speaker. Good job eminence speaker company.

This speaker worked very well for me. I used it in a 2X12 cabinet, and paired it up with a 12" Hempdog. I can switch between the two, or run both in parallel, depending on the sound I'm after. The descriptions of this speaker on the Eminence site's tone selector were pretty dead on. Since it's paired up with a fairly heavy speaker in a 2X12 cabinet, the lower weight of this speaker makes the cabinet much more manageable. Also, I put it in an open back cabinet, but with a fairly small opening. That seemed to work.

Lightweight, 125 watts of of soul power with that sweet tone for your guitar, the package amounts to 4 pounds. I built a lightweight box and pair it with a Quilter Pro Block 200. Perfect for jazz guitar gigs, bass gigs in small rooms, and even solid body electric guitar with a sweet fuzz, this is the one. Right priced too.

I usually use Swamp Thang speakers to handle the power from my Quilter amps,they sound great but are very heavy so I tried the Lil Texas and was pleasantly surprised! I actually like the tone better and the weight savings are a big plus.Very happy with this speaker!!!!

very well made, delivered promptly - odd mid-range response - different from alnico. Have to wait and see if I really like it as the speaker breaks in.

What makes a good speaker is a matter of personal taste, but for me this speaker was very cold and lifeless.I put back in the stock Jenson "special design" speaker and it sounded much better.
