I was looking for hardwired, dimmable, 5 color temp selections, linkable lights for a reasonable price. Check.I bought a total of 7 units in 12, 18 and 24". Install was easy, as I had easy access to the junction boxes from my old halogen units.A cheat that I used was cutting off the connector closest to the junction box, stripping back the white insulation to expose the 3 conductors to tie into the house wiring. I know you are supposed to use the knockouts, but with proper strain relief, this becomes plug and play and perfectly safe.Be sure to cut off the correct end of that cable, as the ends are different!I went a little overboard with my switching, using Lutron Diva dimmers on each of the 3 banks of lights and then a couple of Pico remotes to control all of them. I probably spent as much on controls as lights, but it works great.I can't comment on durability, but so far I couldn't be happier with the product. My backsplashes haven't gone in yet, so I will update photos later.

The light from this fixture looks good, and I like that it has different color temps. But had I known the struggle I'd face installing it, I would not have bought it. To close the metal housing body, you have to squeeze it hard in order to get the bottom front edge under the catch points.

Great under cabinet lights for my garage workshop. Very bright, but combined with a dimmer it’s perfect. The choice of colors was great as I was able to match the other lighting. Used magnets to mount the lights to the metal cabinets. Be careful where those magnets go on the light because if placed in the wrong spot, it caused a hum. Moving the magnets an inch over resolved the issue.

I got lucky. Overall, installation was fairly easy, but I ran into some issues caused by the fixture design. This was purchased to replace an old fluorescent fixture over my built-in desk that had developed a bad ballast over the forty five or so years it was in use. Because of this, I had no choice in how power would be routed to the new fixture. I had a little flexibility, but because the cable was AC (armored metal cable), it wasn't much. Thankfully, I was installing a dimmer switch as well, and the new surface-mount electrical box allowed me the opportunity to convert to romex on the other side of the switch for the actual feed into the fixture. It was once all this work was complete that I discovered the design "flaw" and my good luck. Despite numerous knockouts implying that power could enter at half a dozen places along the three feet of the fixture, the length and layout of the internal wiring and location of the transformer block forces the final connections to be made in only two specific places. My carefully measured and already-connected-to-the-dimmer-switch piece of romex happened to end at exactly the right place. Had I been forced to route power to the other end of the fixture or not utilize the dimmer capability, I would have had to rewire the fixture internally. Be sure to open it up before you make any decisions about connections to make sure you're giving yourself enough wire to reach one of the two places the connections can both reach and fit inside the case. The design is not at all forgiving to those who are dealing with existing wiring.Aside from this I love it. It's lower profile, better looking, and brighter (at full power) than what I had before, produces less flicker, and I have my choice of color temperature to fit my needs. Further, I can reduce the brightness for specific uses like video gaming to give me just enough light to see a notebook and the keyboard.
