It was described accurately, and came when I wanted and had what I wanted in the package. My wife hated it, and I was refunded promptly.

Appears well made, the finish feels good in the hand, focus and zooming actions are smooth with no backlash. The fine focus knob is a very helpful feature, lacking on scopes that have one focus knob or focus by twisting a collar around the scope. The eyecup adjusts smoothly, and holds position when racked out. I 'd like to have a click-stop or two in the middle of the eyecup range.Optically, very nice! To be clear: if testing closely, you can tell it's not a super-premium scope. The designers appear to have made some compromises, and when you point the scope at Jupiter or a bright star there are some odd glares that, to my inexpert eye, suggest the prisms are a bit undersized. In the daytime this manifests as loss of contrast and some sharpness at highest power, compared to super-premium scopes (that, to be fair, cost four times as much).BUT, the 39x max power in the Hawke is still usable, and handy at times, for example in identifying a distant raptor perched on a tower. Even with the odd glares, at 39x I was able to detect faintly the cloud bands on Jupiter---pretty remarkable, I thought, for a 50mm scope! At lower powers---up to about 26x---the views are very sharp, colorful and snappy.I wish the field of view was wider, but at 13x even a narrow field is large enough to find the birds.Overall: much nicer in every way than a slightly cheaper scope I tried, and very competitive with scopes that cost twice as much. I'm using my Endurance ED 50 on a Slik CF-634 carbon fiber tripod, with a tiny Smallrig CH-10 fluid head, and this lightweight combo is working beautifully for carrying on long hikes.

Bought this over Vortex Razor of same dimensions. The two had lots of similarities when I did field comparison, but the deal winner for the Hawke was the wider ocular lens, making viewing noticeably more pleasant! Surprised that Vortex went the low road on the ocular size. This little Endurance has pinpoint optical sharpness and no noticeable chromatic aberration/fringing issues. Very pleased with purchase and looking forward to taking it on trips!!
