The charger comes in a very sturdy box. The dual charger and the usb to type-c charging cord are wrapped separately in a anti-static bags. There is also an optional micro-usb charging port. The micro-usb charging cord is not provided in package. You can charge one battery or two batteries at the same time. When a battery or batteries is charging, there is a blinking status display showing the charge status on each battery. There is 1(low) to 4(fully charged) stripes displayed. At 4 stripes, the battery is fully charged and will stop blinking. If after a minute or two the charging status stops blinking and turns blank, (there are no stripes showing), I found out that the battery is bad and will not charge.I like this charger with me when i take my camera with me. I can recharge batteries in my vehicle. Very convenient.

Compared to the stock charger, this is an upgrade, especially if you have lots of camera batteries like me. With this upgraded charger, you can charge two EN-EL14 or EN-EL14a batteries at the same time as opposed to just one with the OEM charger. Plus, unlike the original which was just a blinking LED, this charger gives you a charge indicator for each battery so you know how much charge remains and how much longer until they are fully charged. Comes with a charging cord, just plug into any USB charger. Compact and will easily fit in your camera bag.

This is a good and affordable charging alternative to the original Nikon charger, adding the big benefit of charging two batteries at once, as opposed to just one, which the stock charger my camera came with does.Only issue is that I noticed that the connection when you plug the batteries in can stop working if you didn't press the batteries in with more force than what I needed to apply with the stock charger, and the connection can stop if you move the charger around while the batteries are in it, which was concerning enough for me to not want to leave the charger working unattended, but it worked fine, so just ensure the batteries are well seated in the charger when you use it.
