The outlet provided didn’t fit well.

This is only the cover and it’s my bad I didn’t realize it. It’s very expensive for just a cover and I returned it. Got the same thing in a full kit for just a little more money.

Needed a 4" round floor plate. Went to 2 electrical supply shops, Lowes and home depot. Nobody had the piece I needed. APrime gets me the part next day.

These covers are much thicker than the cover plates I was replacing. The extra 1/8" or so isn't a major problem where mine are located, but could potentially be a big problem if they catch an unsuspecting toe. Can be resolved, but will require moving the electrical box.

Purchased to replace original brass recessed floor outlet covers, which were difficult to access and looked dated.Quality:Very nicely machined and finished. I would prefer some mechanism in the outlet cover doors to lock open, as they have a tendency to fall back closed sometimes before you can get your plug inserted. I suspect this is a designed safety feature to eliminate creation of a tripping hazard by having the door open with no plug inserted. The machined tolerances are very tight so it is difficult to unlock and open (childproofing?) without mechanical assistance. Fortunately, a dime and a nickel are perfect "tools" to open without marring. The dime to twist the locking screw and the nickel to pry the outlet doors open using the slots. The 20 amp tamper resistant/water resistant outlet is good quality.Dimensions:The Enerlites covers are essentially the same 4" nominal diameter as the brass covers I was replacing. They are slightly thicker, so unless your floor box has height adjustment may not match the finished floor height in your installation. Mine was installed in carpet, so height was less critical than hardwood or tile would have been.Installation:I had to source #6 x 32 x 3/4" oval head screws to install the covers. This was necessary as the floor box I was installing into had used smaller diameter screws than is today's standard. If yours is a newer floor box, the #8 x 32 x 1-1/4" SS screws would have probably worked, but as some other reviews are have indicated their length might need shortening. I also found it necessary to trim the 4" nominal gasket to fit in the recess in my existing outlet mounting flange. I used a utility knife to trim about 1/8" around the perimeter. It your box is located above heated space and not likely to experience water exposure, leaving the gaskets out of the installation would be possible.Shipping:I ordered four (4) covers, which in the current CV-19 period came in four separate deliveries over several days. None of the deliveries were materially outside the dated quoted at checkout. Three of the four outlet covers came in sturdy cardboard boxes. The fourth was in a plastic bag inside a bubble wrap shipping envelope. I was worried that finish might have been compromise, but fortunately between the bubble wrap and shrink-wrap around the outlet no damage was noted.Overall, I would not hesitate to reorder should I have future need.

This is a very high quality floor box cover, with a thick brass construction and nice design for flush install with no bevel. It comes with all you need to install in a standard recessed electrical box - I bought it for a flush mount application in hardwood. The box is indeed 3.9" (or perhaps 3.88 as listed on some other products in this series), in spite of the fact that the Enerlites website as of 8/2017 says 4 inch diameter.

Just as good as the other one I bought. Thick brass plate almost matches tile thickness. Smaller hole needed than others available. Needs box to complete the set - if you have a new installation.

Prefect fit in old 1965 4" floor box. Looks great in place at the middle of a large floor. Most new floor box covers are larger.
